1、I had a pair of Eastland loafers that I purchased five years ago and wore them religiously for work. Unfortunately, I didn’t take as good care of them as I probably should and they looked pretty tired after awhile with the seams looking a bit frayed and marks on the leather. They still held up but didn’t look that great. I decided to get another pair but ended up with a larger size this time (either my feet grew or Eastland changed their manufacturing). I wear the thinner trouser type socks with these. At first the loafers may feel tight or that they might be uncomfortable but with most leather shoes, they conform to your feet after a short time and they’re fine. I’ve never felt actively uncomfortable in these even in the beginning.

These are great because they go with absolutely everything – jeans, trousers, casual, business. They are made in China according to the label inside but they are of great quality. My previous ones didn’t hold up because I work in an office/warehouse environment and stepped in stuff I should have wiped off right away and didn’t. These are easy to clean. Just take a wet cloth and wipe whatever you need to off. The soles never wore on my old ones and I wore those things everyday. I work in an environment that can be slippery and I’ve never had issue with these as far as traction goes. I also have kitchen tile that turns into a glacier when wet. I’ve slipped on it with other shoes I have but never with these. I walked with these in the rain and the finish is such that you can generally wipe them off when you get inside and you’re good. I wouldn’t go walking around in puddles with them but walking outside on a solid surface when it’s raining is fine.

I like these so much that I got the navy, burgundy and tan ones as well.

2、I normally purchase a different brand of penny loafers and my feet hurt for a while until I break in the shoes. I decided to try the Eastland brand because they were $15 cheaper. I was very surprised at how comfortable they were from the start. I have been wearing them for a week and my feet haven’t been sore at all. I plan to buy this brand from now on. I should mention that these type of shoes (penny loafers) don’t have much arch support but these are the type of shoes that work best for me.
I do recommend putting heel plates on the shoes. I have been putting heel plates on my penny loafers for years and it really does extend the life of the shoes. Without heel plates, I tend to wear out the heels on my shoes after just a few months. I use STEP #5 for these penny loafers and I am a size 9.5M.

3、I just received my new shoes and was so excited to wear them. I’ve been purchasing Eastland Penny Loafers since I was a child (I’m 1 year older than the company) and have always been happy with them. They wear exceptionally well and can be worn with almost any fashion and lifestyle. They fit well (if you order your correct size) and are made with high quality materials. The comfortable inner sole make them wonderful work shoes too. Good looking, classic styling, long lasting and great workmanship make these leather loafers a keeper for life. I ordered them in a 9.5 wide width in the Burgandy color and they fit perfectly. I’m so happy that Eastland is a company that I can still rely on. Thanks, Eastland! Please keep up your good work.

  2. I’m very happy with these loafers! The leather is exactly as I expected. Nice firm old style loafers that you break in to be soft and take the shape of your foot. They are wide enough for my feet and seem to be very good quality. They’re a little bigger than I expected, because after reading the reviews, many suggested that I should size up so I did. But, That’s ok I’ll wear a sock with them. Very happy with my purchase and the quality. Maybe if you’re looking for a super soft leather that you don’t have to break in to a degree don’t buy a traditional old-school loafer like these.

  5. They are very comfortable. I have been looking for penny loafer for some time now. I was reluctant to buy on line. But these were the right prize. I do a lot of walking at work and need to be comfortable for 10 hrs. I wish they had more colors my size.
